Split and Join Track Feature

When a track starts or ends with a small piece of audio from the neighbouring track, it is necessary to split this piece and join it to the correct track. You can do this on the Split Track page using the buttons Split and Join Previous or Split and Join Next located at the bottom of the Update and Split section

To handle these small sound clips do the following:

Here is a tutorial for How to Use the Split and Join Feature.

If you are prompted to enter a title, the script file is likely being read from cache on your browser. To force the update:
  1. Open the set play order page for a book.
  2. In Chrome, press shift f5 on Windows or command shift r on Mac to reload the page and bypass the cache.

The split page uses the same script and should now not prompt for a title when using the Split and Join buttons. If this does not work, please email the Production Coordinator with as much detail as possible so they can log a Bug Report.

If this function fails, the names for the two tracks involved may not be correct. Listen to both carefully to find out what happened and rename as needed. Please report any errors as you begin to use this feature including the name of the project and which track you were trying to split. Email the error and steps you took to get the error to the Production Coordinator so they can log a Bug Report.
