Player Settings

In this section you adjust the preview setting for the player, and the navigation settings. The preview setting allow you to automatically hear a short clip of the audio as you navigate backwards and forwards. The navigation settings is to adjust the silence length that is selected as you navigate backwards and forwards in the player.

The first two options control the preview function for the player. You can do one of the following:

  1. Enable Preview: When this is selected, a short preview of the track will automatically play when you navigate with the forward and back button options in the player. When this is unselected the player will play straight through the track and you will need to use the Play/Pause buttons.
  2. Preview Length: dropdown menu to set the length of the preview. Settings include: 1 second, 2 second, 3 seconds, or 5 seconds

Turning on Enable Preview and adjusting the Preview Length can help you find more precise splits.

Below the Preview Setting is an area labelled Adjust Silence Length. Here you can change the silence length that the Player navigates through with the Previous Split and Next Split buttons. In this section there are two radio buttons you can choose from:

  1. Short (for phrases)
  2. Long (for silences)

Select Short to move by phrases. Select Long to move by longer silences. Use Previous Split and Next Split to navigate forwards and backwards. Default for Player is Long.

These settings reset every time you scan a new track.
If the split does not work, the track will need to be rejoined and then repaired. Please see Repair Track for more information
