Audio Recording Kits

Public libraries can borrow kits. Library staff can request a kit by filling out the Request a Kit form.

In the spring of 2018, 10 Audio Recording Kits were purchased and assembled with support from the Government of Canada's Social Development Partnerships Program - Disability Component.

Kits consist of:

  • Sturdy Pelican carrying case
  • 1 gaming headset with microphone (Logitech G433)
  • 2 headset adapters: 1 for USB and 1 for 3.5mm connectors
  • 1 USB key for saving files
  • A Quick Start Guide
  • A return address label

  • Kits are for public library use only.
  • While kits are loaned free of charge to libraries embarking on a recording project for NNELS, we ask libraries to cover the cost of shipping the kit back to NNELS, or on to the next location.
  • Basic loan period for an ARK is 6 weeks, but it's easily extended.
